Introduction to the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TMMDA)
The Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TMMDA) is a public legal entity affiliated with the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health, established under national legislation. It supports public health by carrying out regulatory and supervisory functions such as setting rules and standards within its remit, issuing relevant licences/permits/authorisations, conducting inspections and enforcement actions when necessary, and performing market surveillance and control activities for regulated products.
